Plant Accountant

Addison Group is partnering with an established global manufacturing organization to identify a Plant Accountant to join its growing finance team. This position plays a key role in the plant finance organization, owning core accounting processes including financial reporting, cost accounting, inventory, and fixed assets. Working cross-functionally with operational leaders, you\'ll help improve financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and support strategic decision-making while gaining significant visibility throughout the business. This position is based in Lisle, IL and offers a hybrid work schedule with 3 days per week in the office. Key Responsibilities: Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and KPI reporting Analyze financial results, variances, and plant performance, providing actionable recommendations Manage standard costing, BOMs, labor and overhead rates, and the annual cost roll process Perform cost, inventory, and margin analysis to support operational decision-making Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliations Investigate inventory variances and partner with Operations to implement corrective actions Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and reconciliations Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX, and internal controls while supporting internal and external audits Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong background in cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing accounting ERP experience (SAP and/or OneStream preferred) Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to partner cross-functionally with Finance and Operations Hybrid schedule (3 days onsite / 2 remote) 401(k) with company match Excellent benefits and long-term career growth with a global industry leader #J-18808-Ljbffr
