Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, specialized knowledge, and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care during labor and delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to expectant mothers during labor and delivery, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
• Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, recognizing and responding to complications as they arise.
• Perform nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Assist in the delivery of newborns and provide immediate post-delivery care.
• Counsel and educate patients and families regarding labor, delivery, and postpartum care.

Schedule

This position is for the Night Shift, working 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY State license in hand.
• Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in Labor and Delivery.
• Prior travel experience preferred.
• Nursery skills are essential.
• AWHONN Fetal Monitoring certification obtained within the last two years.
• Current BLS and NRP certifications.
