Lead / Forklift Operator

Starting Pay Rate: $25.00 per hour

Location: Sanger, Tx


Pay: $25.00/hour

Schedule: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 7 days a week until project completion
Estimated Project Length: 2 weeks (Moving to Denton, Tx for temp-hire opportunity.)
Expected Hours: 56+ hours per week

Position Overview


Express Employment Professionals of Denton County is seeking a dependable and experienced Lead / Forklift Operator to oversee daily operations during a short-term warehouse project. This individual will serve as the on-site job lead , helping coordinate assignments, keep the team on task, and ensure daily operations run smoothly while also operating a forklift as needed.


The ideal candidate is a well-rounded warehouse professional with strong forklift, shipping and receiving, leadership, and computer skills . This position requires someone who can confidently take initiative, communicate with team members, and help keep the project organized and on schedule.


Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary lead for the warehouse team and oversee daily assignments.
• Help coordinate workflow and delegate tasks to team members as needed.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, unload, and stage materials.
• Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including verifying shipments and organizing inventory.
• Use handheld scanners, computers, and inventory systems to track materials and complete documentation.
• Monitor daily productivity and help ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and project contacts.
• Help troubleshoot day-to-day issues and provide direction when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and forklift operating guidelines.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as needed to support the team and project.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership or team lead experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment.
• Strong, hands-on forklift operating experience .
• Previous shipping and receiving experience .
• Comfortable using computers, scanners, and inventory management systems.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and keep a team on schedule.
• Dependable, responsible, and comfortable working independently.
• Ability to work extended hours and a 7-day schedule throughout the project.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment and safely perform physical job duties.
