To support patient needs, the remote Patient Advocacy Specialist will manage inbound and outbound calls, assist with medical claims inquiries, and ensure a positive experience for patients navigating their healthcare options. Key responsibilities Handle patient inquiries and provide first-call resolution for healthcare questions and concerns Guide patients through the medical claims process, ensuring they understand payment options and insurance claim statuses Document patient interactions accurately and maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations Required qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred 1-2 years of experience in customer service, healthcare, or patient advocacy Familiarity with insurance processes and medical terminology Proficiency with call center software and Microsoft Office Suite Bilingual skills preferred, particularly in English and Spanish
