Lake Mary, FL | Full-Time or Part-Time | New Graduates Welcome

Smile Design Lake Mary is looking for a motivated and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our growing team! We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates and welcome new graduates who are eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys educating patients, working collaboratively with teammates, and delivering exceptional care. Experience with Dentrix and iTero scanners is preferred but not required.

Schedule

Full-Time Schedule:

1. Monday – Thursday: 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
2. Friday: 7:45 AM – 2:00 PM
3. Work through lunch

Part-time opportunities are also available.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, including prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and other preventive treatments within the scope of practice.
• Perform patient assessments, collect and review medical histories, and record clinical findings.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene techniques, treatment recommendations, and the connection between oral and overall health.
• Take and interpret dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations.
• Partner with doctors and team members to develop and support patient treatment plans.
• Utilize technology to enhance patient care and communication.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and safety protocols.
• Help create a positive patient experience by building trust and fostering long-term patient relationships.
• Support office goals through teamwork, efficiency, and a commitment to exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of Florida or eligibility to obtain licensure.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Current CPR certification.
• Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Experience using an iTero scanner preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and stay organized.
• Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Passion for delivering high-quality patient care and creating outstanding patient experiences.

Qualifications:

• Current dental hygienist license
• Excellent working knowledge of dentistry, dental hygiene procedures, dental patient screening and medical history documentation
• CPR Certification

Preferred Experience

• Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems
• Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet needs of patients and provide preventative care and overall maintenance of patients' dental health
