An Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing a company's outgoing payments, processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring vendors are paid on time. This role supports the accounting department by handling financial transactions efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Prepare and process payments via checks, electronic transfers, or other methods.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and documentation.
• Monitor payment schedules to ensure timely payments.
• Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare reports related to accounts payable transactions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or accounting.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and financial procedures.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
