Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU/Step Down RN for a 13-week travel assignment requiring a Maine or compact RN license and 2+ years of ICU experience.

Details

• ICU/Step Down unit with 8 beds
• Patient ratios of 1 to 2-3
• 12-hour day shifts, 6:45AM-7:15PM
• Every other weekend required (36 hours)
• Call requirements vary based on unit needs
• Floating required to MSU or other units as a resource, within a 25-mile radius between facilities
• Uses EPIC EMR

Requirements

• Active RN license (Maine or compact) required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• PALS preferred but not required
• Minimum 2 years of ICU/Step Down experience required
• Peds experience preferred but not required
• Non-AHA certifications may be submitted but AHA certification must be completed before start
• Driver's License required for consideration
• 2 professional references required

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care to ICU and Step Down patients
• Scrub color must be solid, any color, with no prints allowed
• Candidates located within 90 miles of any MaineHealth facility (Maine or New Hampshire residents) are considered local and subject to a reduced bill rate
• Local travelers are not eligible for renewals or extensions
• RTO should be minimal, with 3-4 days considered reasonable for the 13-week contract, at manager's discretion
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
