Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods. Support patient comfort, safety, and well-being throughout the childbirth process.

Responsibilities:

Assess maternal and fetal health status consistently throughout labor and delivery.
Administer medications, including conscious sedation, as prescribed.
Perform IV insertions and phlebotomy procedures accurately and safely.
Monitor and document patient progress, vital signs, and clinical observations.
Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, and postpartum care instructions.
Collaborate with healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

Minimum of two years of Maternal and Child health experience.
Two years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience.
Two years of conscious sedation experience.
Current New York State RN license with primary source verification.
Hold AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NRP certifications.
Associate Degree (ASN, ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
