**Job Title:** Brake Press Operator
**Job Description:**
Mancan is currently seeking experienced CNC Press Brake Operators for our esteemed client in Smithville, Ohio. We are in search of individuals with a demonstrated proficiency in press brake operation and setup, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to enhancing our manufacturing team's capabilities. As a Brake Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production, quality, and safety standards of our sheet steel products. To excel in this role, you should have your own set of hand tools and a lockable toolbox (power tools will be provided by the company).

**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Press Brake Operation:** Operate and set up CNC press brake machines to facilitate the bending and forming of sheet steel products.
- **Quality Assurance:** Maintain high-quality standards while working to ensure the precision and accuracy of formed components.
- **Safety:** Adhere to workplace safety guidelines to create a secure and hazard-free environment.
- **Metric System:** Utilize knowledge of the metric system to ensure accurate measurements and specifications.
- **Tool Proficiency:** Utilize hand tools such as tape measures, digital calipers, and sheet metal gauges effectively in the production process.
- **Read and Interpret Blueprints:** Understand and interpret engineered drawings to perform tasks accurately.
- **Math Skills:** Apply mathematical skills to calculate bend allowances and other measurements.
- **Work Schedule:** Work primarily on the 1st shift (usually) from Monday to Friday, starting at 6:00 am and concluding at 2:30 pm. Overtime may be required, extending the working hours from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm, and occasionally on Saturdays from 6:00 am to noon.
- **Compensation:** The salary for this position will be determined based on your level of experience, with a range of $15.00 to $25.00 per hour.

**Qualifications:**
- Familiarity with the manufacturing environment.
- A strong grasp of workplace safety protocols.
- Knowledge of quality standards in manufacturing.
- Proficiency in CNC controls.
- Understanding of the metric system.
- Competency in using hand tools, including tape measures, digital calipers, and sheet metal gauges.
**Skills:**
- Strong mathematical skills.
- The ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings.
- Proficiency in setting up press brakes.
- Competency in operating press brake machines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective time management skills.
