Financial Advocate - (Westwego)

Role Summary Financial Advocate – On-site – Westwego. Hourly range $17.00 to $19.81. Primary responsibilities include building relationships with members, consulting on financial solutions, promoting credit union products, driving sales goals, and ensuring positive member experiences. The position involves daily interactions, cross‑selling opportunities, maintaining accurate loan documentation, supporting branch operations, and adhering to policies and regulatory requirements. Major Duties & Responsibilities Greets and assists every member with a friendly, positive and professional demeanor. Drives results through monthly sales goals and other metrics. Conduct consultative conversations to cross‑sell products such as checking accounts, loans, credit cards, and others, and refer mortgage and commercial loans to appropriate departments. Effectively communicate information on credit union products and services and meet or exceed referral and sales goals set by the branch. Understand and interpret credit reports to offer the best solutions. Process loan documents efficiently. Assist with branch opening and closing procedures, perform administrative tasks, maintain a clean and organized environment. Participate in training sessions and team meetings to stay informed. Adhere to all credit union policies, procedures and regulatory requirements; protect confidentiality. Complete all additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Up to 6 months of similar or related experience in a sales and/or customer service environment. High school education or GED. Professional courtesy and tact, strong interpersonal skills. Experience in routine customer interactions. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and standards related to responsibility area. Proficiency with database software and MS Office suite. ADA Requirements & Physical Demands The role requires regularly sitting, using hands, reaching, standing, walking, lifting up to 5lbs and up to 25lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made.
