Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to provide respiratory care and support to patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders. The therapist will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and monitor patients, ensuring optimal respiratory function and comfort. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients’ respiratory status through assessments, diagnostic tests, and monitoring. Administer respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, chest physiotherapy, and mechanical ventilation. Manage ventilators and airway devices for critically ill patients. Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts. Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments, disease management, and home care techniques. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and treatment outcomes. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust individualized care plans. Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education. Required Qualifications Associate degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program. Current and unrestricted state licensure or certification as a Respiratory Therapist (e.g., RRT). Proficiency in respiratory care techniques and equipment. Strong critical thinking and patient care skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience in critical care, neonatal, or pediatric respiratory therapy. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems. Certifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential – required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – preferred.
