Job Summary:

R/S Electric is an Electrical Contractor whose installation and design-build expertise is exceeded only by our commitment to serve and deliver for our clients, including industrial and manufacturing facilities, healthcare, pharmaceutical, grain elevators, water and wastewater treatment, power generation, colleges/universities, utility projects and alternative energy such as solar and wind. This position will work primarily out of our St. Joseph, MO location.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

Program automated machinery using programmable logic controllers (PLC), create design schematics, write and install computer programs, and test the efficacy of the installed program.

• Electrical controls troubleshooting and repair involving 24VDC, 120VAC, and 480VAC
• Safety controls troubleshooting & repair
• Electric motor troubleshooting
• Instrumentation setup and calibration
• Electrical control systems design

 

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

• 3-5 years extensive electrical controls troubleshooting, 24vdc, 120vac, and 480vac is required
• Safety controls
• Electric motor troubleshooting
• Instrumentation setup and calibration
• Electrical control systems design
• AC variable frequency drives
• DC drives
• PLC's
• HMI (SCADA)
• Panelviews

Experience with the following software is strongly preferred:

• FactoryTalk View ME, SE
• FactoryTalk Studio, RS 5000
• RS Logix 5
• RS Logix 500
• RS Linx
• RS Networx
• Microsoft Office
• AutoCAD Electrical
• iFix
• Wonderware (InTouch) & (System Platform)

Education and Experience, and Certifications:

· High School diploma or equivalent required.

· Certification or Associate’s Degree from an accredited technical school preferred

 

Candidates must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and are required to consent to a background check.

 

Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors in all types of weather performing physically demanding tasks and must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds.

 

The location for this position is the St. Joseph / Kansas City area. Candidates must live in the St Joseph / Kansas City area or be willing to relocate at own expense.
