Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Center Psychiatry, a family-owned concierge outpatient clinic in New York, is hiring a full-time child & adolescent psychiatrist. Our new psychiatrist will benefit from:

* Genuine work-life balance: A full panel is 120-170 patients, built around ~32 clinical hours/week. You set your own schedule and choose your session lengths - extended appointments are the norm, not an exception.

* Fair compensation: $300,000-$350,000 via a transparent revenue-split model, plus 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums, full malpractice coverage, and CME.

* A combined psychotherapy approach: Combined therapy and medication management with your own patients - no split-treatment, no RVU targets, no insurance-dictated session lengths. Cash-pay with out-of-network benefits, and you're free to offer sliding scales.

* No admin burden for physicians: Intakes, credentialing, scheduling, billing, prior auths, documentation support, and patient communication run through our in-house team and systems. Notes are written for you, not an auditor. Clinical hours stay clinical.

* Coverage & community: Peer physicians across our New York and Boston offices provide vacation coverage, curbsides, and consultation - with support for developing a specialized clinical focus.

Our doctors specialize in combining psychotherapy and nuanced medication management. We provide exceptional treatment and service to our patients, while giving our practitioners a reasonable patient panel and the modern workplace freedoms they deserve. Our physicians set their own schedule and are free to provide extended sessions. We encourage providers to pursue specialized clinical focuses.

We are family-owned and operated. We commit to never selling our practices to private equity or any outside investor. A typical "full panel" consists of 120-170 patients. Our revenue-split compensation model offers a salary competitive with practices requiring more than three-times the patient load.


Our company was founded by a former Mass General psychiatrist and her husband, an associate of MIT's Center for Entrepreneurship. It is built on frameworks designed at MIT to accelerate innovative companies. We use modern business approaches to create practices where our psychiatrists have the time and energy to grow professionally, and personally.

Role Description

At our clinic, you will practice medicine how you always thought you would: Developing deep relationships with your patients to create positive outcomes. Our model allows doctors to pair med management and therapy, because the split-treatment model fragments the therapeutic relationship.


You prescribe, and you also do the work. And the sessions are long enough to actually get somewhere with your patients.

We provide psychiatry with the constraints removed. There are no insurance panels dictating session length. No RVU targets. No pressure to churn. The measure of your work is whether patients get better, and you'll have the time you need to make that happen.

What we're building

We're a physician-owned practice building a new kind of psychiatric group - one designed by clinicians for the work clinicians actually want to do.

Practically, that means we've built the operational layer so you don't have to. All of your intakes, scheduling, billing, prior auths, documentation support, and patient communication run through an in-house system our team built and maintains. Physicians here do not spend evenings on charts or afternoons on hold with insurers. Your clinical hours are purely clinical.

Our model

Our model combines elements of a typical regional group practice and a concierge clinic. Like a regional clinic, we offer vacation coverage, and a community of peer physicians. Like a concierge clinic, we offer high-touch customer service, same-week intakes, and extended appointment lengths.

We are a cash-pay practice, with many of our patients utilizing out-of-network benefits. Our doctors are free to offer sliding scales, and our disconnection from insurance companies means they write their notes for themselves - not an outside auditor.

Compensation & benefits

Associate Psychiatrist: $300,000-$350,000 (based on revenue split earnings).
We cover 100% of health insurance premiums through our marketplace, plus CME and malpractice coverage in full.
Compensation is based on a transparent revenue split model. Expected salary is based on an average of 32 clinical hours per week.
