Project Engineer 1

We are seeking a Project Engineer 1 to support the planning, coordination and delivery of engineering projects from concept through to completion. Working under the guidance of experienced engineers and project managers, you will help develop practical, cost-effective solutions while ensuring that work is delivered safely, accurately and in line with agreed quality, budget and schedule requirements. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain broad project experience and contribute to projects with measurable operational and technical outcomes.


Key responsibilities will include preparing and reviewing engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, technical reports and project documentation; assisting with project planning, scheduling, cost tracking and risk assessments; coordinating with internal teams, contractors, consultants and suppliers; and supporting procurement, installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities. You will monitor progress against project milestones, help identify and resolve technical or delivery issues, and maintain clear records of decisions, changes and actions. The role will also involve participating in site visits, inspections, design reviews and project meetings, as well as promoting compliance with relevant standards, regulations, health and safety requirements and quality procedures.


Applicants should hold a degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related discipline, with some relevant academic, placement or professional experience in project or engineering environments. You will need strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to interpret technical information and communicate clearly with a range of stakeholders. Familiarity with engineering design software, project management tools and Microsoft Office applications is desirable. We are looking for someone who is proactive, methodical and willing to learn, with the ability to manage priorities, work collaboratively and take responsibility for assigned tasks. Professional registration or a clear commitment to progressing towards it would be advantageous.
