Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Medical Surgical Float Nurse in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The role involves providing general medical-surgical inpatient nursing care on a rotating schedule with night shifts. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of orientation.

Job Details:

• Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
• Shift: Nights, 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Schedule: 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred; 2 or more years of relevant experience; valid license to practice nursing in the state of New Mexico.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information:
  • Candidates must be registered with the state of New Mexico as fingerprints are required, which can take several weeks to process.
  • No on-call schedule for the general medical-surgical unit, except for census flex on-call prior to shifts if census is low.
  • Scrub color: any color.
  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): MedHost.
  • Unit type: General Medical-Surgical Inpatient Nursing Unit.
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6.
