Term: 10-month

Education, Training, and Experience

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Family and Consumer Sciences with 2 years' experience -OR-
• Associate degree from an accredited institution with 4 years' experience -OR-
• Post-Secondary Culinary Arts Certificate with 6 years' experience

License Requirements

• Must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Family and Consumer Sciences Education – General license (710) -OR- Family and Consumer Sciences Education – Foods and Nutrition/Culinary Arts license (716).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide engaging, standards-based instruction in Culinary Arts & Hospitality I, II, and III courses.
• Manage and operate the Ram Café, including menu planning, budgeting, food preparation, scheduling, and customer service – all in collaboration with students.
• Facilitate hands-on learning experiences in a safe and organized culinary lab environment.
• Prepare students for and administer the ServSafe Food Protection Manager Certification exam.
• Serve as co-advisor for the FCCLA chapter, planning and facilitating chapter meetings, events, and student participation in leadership conferences and competitions.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture that supports student learning and growth.
• Maintain and oversee kitchen safety protocols, inventory, and equipment upkeep.
• Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and community partners to promote Career and Technical Education (CTE).
• Integrate real-world applications, project-based learning, and work-based learning opportunities into the curriculum.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, credential attainment, and participation in school-based enterprise.
• Participate in professional development, school functions, and CTE-related events as required.
