Registered Nurse (RN)As a Registered Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of unit leadership. You will be responsible for the complete nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychological, and social needs upon admission and complete required documentation within the specified time frame.Develop individualized care plans based on assessments, ensuring plans are initiated within 24 hours of admission.Implement care plans and document effectiveness in the medical record, updating as necessary at least every 24 hours.Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families, fostering a compassionate care environment.Promote patient independence through education regarding their conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.Ensure quality care by adhering to established standards and protocols while advocating for necessary adjustments to care plans based on patient outcomes.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to address patient needs and resolve problems efficiently.Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control policies and proper medication administration protocols.Document and communicate patient care actions and needs to ensure continuity of care among nursing teams and physicians.Utilize leadership skills to delegate tasks, communicate effectively with team members, and evaluate their performance.Monitor changes in patients' statuses and provide appropriate interventions with thorough documentation.Engage in continuous patient and family education based on daily assessments.Prioritize care based on the individual needs of each patient.Participate in continuing education and staff meetings to maintain current knowledge in healthcare practices and drive performance improvement initiatives.Adhere to hospital mission, vision, and values, while understanding and complying with all policies and procedures.Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific care needs for patients served in the assigned unit.Carry out additional duties as assigned.Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical experience.Experience floating to Progressive Care Units (PCU).Proficient in telemetry and the ability to read and interpret heart rhythms.Current Covid-19 vaccination status is required, with exemptions allowed.Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia test prior to assignment.Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.Current Michigan nursing license as verified through LARA or Nursys.Apply now to become a vital part of our dedicated healthcare team, where your expertise will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their families.Client Details City Owosso State MI
