Role Description The Dispensing Audiologist is a full-time, on-site position based in New Hyde Park, NY. This role is responsible for performing comprehensive audiological evaluations. The audiologist will counsel patients and their families on test results, treatment options, and expectations, and will recommend, fit, program, and verify hearing aids and related assistive devices. Daily responsibilities include conducting follow-up appointments, performing hearing aid checks and repairs, fine-tuning devices, and documenting all encounters. The Dispensing Audiologist will also participate in community outreach efforts, such as educational events and in-office demonstrations, to promote hearing health awareness and services. Qualifications Current Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) or Master’s degree in Audiology from an accredited program. Active state licensure as an Audiologist and Hearing Aid Dispenser in New York. Solid clinical skills in diagnostic audiology, including pure tone, speech audiometry, tympanometry, and OAE testing. Experience with hearing aid selection, fitting, real-ear verification, and follow-up care using major manufacturers’ software. Strong patient counseling and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex clinical information in clear, supportive language. Commitment to patient-centered, ethical care, with sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, ages, and communication needs. Comfort working with electronic health records and basic office technology in a fast-paced clinical environment. Ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and administrative team members and manage a daily schedule independently.
