Position Summary:

Reports directly to the lead case processing specialist and indirectly to the ICE Field Office Personnel. Responsible for assisting ICE Field Office Personnel with the following duties in compliance with MTC and ICE directives.

Essential Functions:

1. Process cases and perform all peripheral activities, immigration records, management, and document preparation.

2. Prepare, review, and manage case files, ensuring accuracy and completeness in all documentation.

3. Ensure Alien Files (A-files) and ICE systems reflect a case status that is updated, accurate, and complete.

4. Accurately enter data into ICE systems ensuring compliance with agency protocols and data integrity requirements.

5. Maintain and update electronic and paper-based case files, ensuring compliance with federal privacy laws, DHS policies, and federal data security requirements.

6. Retrieve, compile, and organize county, state, and federal court records, conviction documents, and support case materials for multiple databases, and other government sources.

7. Maintain up-to-date case status records, court scheduling details, and case tracking logs.

8. Generate case status reports and monitoring dashboards.

9. Assist with docket coordination with EOIR and USCIS. Coordinate with ICE offices to facilitate interviews, hearings, removals, and case updates.

10. Review appropriate paperwork for completeness and accuracy.

11. Ensure all administrative applications are reviewed. A-files are updated, and docket officers timely notified for appropriate law enforcement action.

12. Track compliance with release conditions and report violations, as applicable.

13. Assist ICE Office of Principle Legal Advisor (OPLA) in obtaining criminal history checks and other supporting documents as needed prior to court.

14. Assist ICE personnel with scheduling and coordinating interviews between aliens and ICE officers, consulates, and legal representatives, as assigned.

15. Organize and prepare removal documents and coordinate with ICE personnel for scheduling removal and staging flights. Ensure all documentation is prepared and accurate.

16. Ensure aliens scheduled for removal have the necessary documentation in A-files per ICE instructions.

17. Ensure travel information, ICE Air scheduling and manifest(s) are completed, detention center release forms are prepared, and property inventories/receipts are ready on the scheduled time and day of departure.

18. Ensure aliens have the necessary legal paperwork, seven-day supply of medication, property, and valuables before transfer or removal.

19. Collect, review for completeness and accuracy, and file signed Form I-205 Warrant of Removal Deportation departure verifications in A-file.

20. Ensure case is closed in the ICE data systems and file is transferred to the National Record Center for storage.

21. Schedule interviews between aliens and ICE officers, consulates, and legal representatives as applicable.

22. Communicate with all aliens in the alien's primary language with assistance from an electronic language translator device.

23. Provide other logistical and administrative support for ICE personnel as assigned.

24. Provide surge support after hours, including expanded breadth and depth of tasks as required.

25. Regular and predictable onsite attendance is required.

26. It is expected that the incumbent will work overtime, when directed to do so.

27. Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed.

28. Maintain accountability of aliens and property; adhere to safety practices.

It is expected the incumbent will perform other duties as assigned within his/her scope of work determined by management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, minimum of one year directly related industry experience and at least 21 years of age required. Must have knowledge of program objectives, policies, procedures, and requirements related to immigration case processing and prior experience and/or training related to reviewing law enforcement documentation such as detention files, custodial records, or case files including A-file and DHS databases or previous experience in conducting interviews for immigration or detention related purposes. High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail, professional written and verbal communication, skills, and excellent organizational and time-management skills and US Citizenship are also required. Associate or bachelor's degree preferred. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management.

Post Hire Requirements:

Must successfully complete annual in-service training requirements and maintain appropriate facility clearance.
