Registered Nurse (RN) - ER

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30), every other weekend required.

15-week contract, with an expected commitment to work holidays.

2 years of Emergency Room experience

ACLS certification

BLS certification

CPI certification

PALS certification

Skills in combined adult/pediatric emergency care, non-trauma, and pediatric emergency departments

Experience working in a STEMI certified and stroke certified facility

Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias

Competence in arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care/management

Experience in phlebotomy and starting IVs

Knowledge of continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors

Competency in procedural sedation administration

Experience in CVA care, ICP monitoring, neuro-trauma, and spinal cord injury treatment

Knowledge of trauma cases including head injuries, near drowning, gunshot wounds, and traumatic amputation

Familiarity with isolation precautions and triage

Provide high-quality emergency care to patients of all ages

Assess and prioritize patient needs in high-stress situations

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

Monitor patient vital signs and report changes to the medical team

Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Participate in emergency care training and continuing education
