About the Opportunity

Welcome to ATvantage Sports Medicine, where we believe in keeping healthcare providers engaged, empowered, and balanced. Our team is composed of multidisciplinary professionals, including Certified Athletic Trainers (ATs) and EMTs, who want to practice high-level care on their own terms.

We are actively hiring Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) for the upcoming Fall high school sports season in Boalsburg, PA. If you are looking for a seasonal role that prioritizes your autonomy and respects your time outside of work, look no further. This post offers consistent, predictable weekday afternoon and evening hours—making it an ideal fit for supplemental income, off-day shifts, or keeping your skills sharp without the burnout of traditional EMS shift work.

The ATvantage Perks
  • Predictable Weekday Schedule: Work ~10 hours per week strictly during Monday–Friday afternoon/evening athletic events.
  • Low-Stress Standing Coverage: Focus strictly on dedicated event standby, athletic triage, and emergency stabilization alongside Certified Athletic Trainers—without the wear and tear of back-to-back rig transports.
  • True Work-Life Balance: Perfect for supplementing a primary EMS rotation, balancing continuing education, or picking up steady seasonal income.
  • A Collaborative Culture: Join a progressive healthcare staffing network that deeply respects emergency sports medicine and fosters a supportive community.
What You'll Do

Provide autonomous sideline emergency medical coverage for high school athletic contests within the EMT scope of practice. Core responsibilities include:

  • Emergency Response: Lead immediate interventions for cardiac situations, heat-related illnesses, environmental emergencies, and acute trauma.
  • Sport Injury & Wound Care: Manage acute soft tissue injuries, skin abrasions, lacerations, and sudden athletic trauma.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and secure patient care reports for all encounters.
Who You Are
  • Experienced: 3+ years of EMT experience, with a background in athletic, tournament, or event-based medical care preferred.
  • Autonomous: Completely comfortable acting as a primary medical authority on a sideline or at an athletic venue.
  • Patient-Centered: Passionate about sports medicine and committed to providing high-quality, patient-first care to student-athletes.
  • A Strong Communicator: Able to seamlessly collaborate with athletes, parents, coaches, athletic trainers, and school staff in fast-paced environments.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Certifications: Active Pennsylvania State EMT Certification
  • Safety: Current CPR/AED for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification
  • Compliance: Ability to pass standard Pennsylvania school clearances and background checks (including Mandated Reporter training).
  • Logistics: Valid Driver's License, reliable transportation to Boalsburg venues, and physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and assist with patient mobility as needed.
Ready to Change the Way You Work This Fall?

If you love emergency care but want to ditch rigid shift schedules and long transport shifts, we want to meet you before the busy fall season kicks off.
