The Assistant Property Manager plays a hands-on, field-based role supporting the Property Manager in ensuring every home is guest-ready, well-maintained, and operating at the highest standard.

This is a dynamic position for someone who enjoys being on the move, solving problems in real time, and taking ownership of property quality and guest experience. You will be the eyes and ears of the operation-inspecting homes, addressing maintenance needs, and helping ensure every stay exceeds expectations.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in property management, hospitality, maintenance, or a related field.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to work a 5-day schedule between 8 AM-6 PM with weekend availability required.
• Willingness to participate in on-call and after-hours rotations, including nights as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable working independently in the field while collaborating with a larger team.

Preferred Skills

• Strong communication and customer service mindset when interacting with owners, guests, and vendors.
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Experience working in vacation rentals, hotel operations, or residential property management.
• Ability to anticipate issues and take proactive action to prevent guest disruptions.

Physical Requirements

This role requires frequent physical activity in and around properties, including:

• Bending, kneeling, and squatting during inspections and maintenance checks.
• Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. (supplies, tools, or furniture adjustments).
• Extended periods of walking and standing during property tours and inspections.
• Navigating stairs, uneven terrain, ladders, and multi-level properties.
• Working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Visual inspection of cleanliness, damage, and inventory accuracy.
• Use of basic tools for minor repairs and property upkeep.

Schedule

• Full-time, 5-day work week
• Typical hours: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Weekend availability required
• On-call and after-hours rotation required for urgent property, guest, or owner needs
