Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Duration: Ongoing 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Staff Date posted: January 28, 2026 Pay: $58,240 – $87,360 per year Job Description Registered Respiratory Therapist Opportunity – Spirit Lake, Iowa Direct Hire | Full-Time | Day Shift Position Overview Permanent, full-time role 40 hours per week Day shift MEDITECH electronic medical record system Shift Details 5 shifts per week 8-hour day shifts Compensation & Incentives Salary range: $58,240 – $87,360 annually (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package Key Responsibilities Provide respiratory care treatments and therapies to patients of all ages Manage ventilators, oxygen therapy, and airway support Respond to respiratory emergencies and rapid response situations Perform diagnostic testing such as ABGs and pulmonary function support Accurately document patient care in MEDITECH Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans Maintain equipment and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards Requirements Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (Required) BLS Certification (Required) ACLS Certification (Required) PALS Certification (Required) NRP Certification (Required) Minimum 1 year of respiratory therapy experience (Required) Why This Opportunity This role is ideal for a Respiratory Therapist seeking stable daytime scheduling, strong compensation, and the ability to work across a variety of patient populations in a supportive hospital setting.
