Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Job Title: Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift Summary of Job The Production Supervisor is responsible for directing and supervising activities of a production team and shift/department. The role requires at least 3+ years of experience leading and managing a team in a manufacturing environment. The supervisor ensures that safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards are achieved while meeting waste reduction and sustainability goals. The individual will create a culture of integrity, customer focus, innovation, and collaboration, attract and develop top talent, and oversee all people‑leadership functions, including interviewing, selection, and performance management. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Drive company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating flow of production. Effectively manage labor to meet plant productivity and cost goals by coordinating work schedules, staffing requirements, and production sequence. Monitor production activities, identify problems, and troubleshoot causes to develop solutions. Plan and manage daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, communicating them to employees to ensure alignment. Create, train, monitor, and evaluate team on safety, quality, and standard operating procedures. Document and maintain up‑to‑date training for all existing and new production equipment. Troubleshoot processing techniques and production machinery and provide solutions for continuous improvement. Accurately record, communicate, and maintain required documentation in a timely manner. Analyze and submit daily reports on performance and progress related to production, quality, safety, staffing, and regular maintenance duties. Demonstrate self‑motivation with a results‑driven approach. Prioritize workload effectively. Display strong verbal and written communication skills. Possess strong analytical skills. Environment Exposure to moving equipment. Inside work. Heat may exceed 90°F. Humidity may exceed 80%. Noise may exceed 85 dB. Physical Characteristics Frequent standing, stooping, squatting, up to 75% of time. Occasional lifting, pushing, pulling (up to 50 lbs). Frequent typing/keyboarding/preparing documents, voice‑assisted as needed. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant manufacturing experience required. High School diploma or equivalent required. 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position. Strong background in manufacturing. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook is required; knowledge of Word/PowerPoint is a plus. Compensation Base Pay: The estimated annualized base pay range for this role is $80,000–$100,000.
