Job Description

Job Summary

The Relief Driver plays a critical role in supporting warehouse and production operations by safely transporting aluminum products, raw materials, and supplies. This position also provides backup support for palletizer operations, ensuring continuous production flow. The role requires strict adherence to Crown's safety standards, SOPs, and operational policies. Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment to transport aluminum products, scrap, and raw materials safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, secure, and deliver materials used in the packaging of finished goods.
• Support palletizer operations as needed, including material insertion and equipment operation.
• Perform routine forklift inspections and maintain accurate logs.
• Serve as relief support for operators and outgoing personnel.
• Follow all company safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist in warehouse, shipping, and receiving activities when required.
• Monitor equipment condition and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain professional communication with team members and departments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Experience handling heavy or industrial materials preferred.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to safety and detail.
• Reliable, flexible, and adaptable.
• Effective communication and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.

Work Environment

May involve exposure to noise, moderate temperatures, and handling of materials.

Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required.

Ability to lift 50lbs or more.

Able to perform in a high-pressure fast paced environment.
