Job Profile Alm Associate Senior – Portfolio Management Position Overview As an ALM Associate Senior in PNC’s Asset Liability Management organization, you will support the Chief Investment Office, which manages over $200 billion in fixed‑income assets and derivative products. You will work with senior portfolio managers and traders to develop credit and relative value views, evaluate investment opportunities, conduct research, and support credit modeling across structured products portfolios. The role also supports regulatory and risk initiatives, providing exposure to bank balance‑sheet management and ALM strategy. Responsibilities Securitization Analytics – Evaluate new‑issue ABS, CLO, RMBS, and CMBS transactions, including structural analysis, collateral review, cash‑flow modeling, and relative‑value assessment. Recommend portfolio acquisitions or disposals and coordinate with portfolio managers, broker‑dealers, and rating agencies. ABS Portfolio Analytics – Maintain credit and relative‑value views, perform ongoing collateral surveillance, spread analysis, and sector‑level performance monitoring. Prepare analytics packages, trade recommendations, and reporting for portfolio‑manager meetings. Support credit‑model review and validations. Sector Research & Communication – Conduct fundamental sector, market, and security‑level analysis. Synthesize findings into investment recommendations and sector theses, and communicate views clearly to portfolio managers, traders, and senior staff. Regulatory & Risk Support – Assist with regulatory reporting, capital and liquidity exercises, loss reserving (CECL), stress testing, and model validation for structured products, in coordination with risk, finance, and quantitative partners. Data Infrastructure & Automation – Maintain and enhance portfolio databases, dashboards, and classification systems. Leverage Python, SQL, and generative‑AI tools to improve reporting accuracy, efficiency, and scalability. Job Description & Qualifications Use independent judgment and discretion in transaction and portfolio analysis, research, and report preparation. Apply working knowledge of financial instruments for the bank’s investment portfolio. Develop and maintain management reports that support group goals and directives. Administer defined processes and procedures. Maintain market and macroeconomic knowledge, assessing potential impacts on ALM and the assigned business unit. Pay Transparency Base Salary: $86,250.00 – $172,500.00 (salaries may vary by geography, market data, and individual skills).
