Line Cook

Description About the Role Ember Management Group is hiring AM and PM Line Cooks to join the opening culinary team for Buccan, Imoto, and The Sandwich Shop in Coral Gables. This is a hands-on line position for cooks who thrive in a fast-paced, quality-driven, scratch kitchen environment. Line Cooks are responsible for executing menu items during service according to established recipes and standards, maintaining clean and organized stations, and supporting the culinary team with consistency, urgency, and attention to detail. Responsibilities Execute menu items during service according to recipes, procedures, and quality standards. Set up, stock, and maintain assigned station for service Prepare components as needed to support AM or PM service. Maintain station organization, cleanliness, and proper food labeling. Operate and clean kitchen equipment including grills, sauté stations, ovens, fryers, and smallware's. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards. Practice proper food handling, storage, labeling, and rotation. Communicate effectively with chefs and teammates during service. Support prep, breakdown, and closing duties as assigned. AM Line Cook Focus Morning prep and production to support lunch and dinner service. Station setup, sauce and component preparation, and organization. Supporting prep team with daily pars and service readiness. PM Line Cook Focus Dinner service execution with speed, accuracy, and consistency. Maintaining station flow during high-volume service. Breakdown, cleaning, and proper storage at end of service. Requirements Qualifications Prior line cook experience preferred (AM or PM service) Strong cooking fundamentals and knife skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Team-oriented, dependable, and organized. Ability to meet food safety and sanitation standards. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. Ability to stand and work 8-10-hour shifts. Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions in a kitchen environment.
