We understand that our employees have choices, and we strive to be an employer of choice for our team.**Position Highlights****Come join our award-winning team at Floyd Valley Healthcare in our Laboratory Department!****$5,000 Sign-On/Retention Bonus!** Floyd Valley Healthcare in Le Mars, IA has a full-time position (40 hours per week) in our Laboratory Department for a Medical Lab Scientist or Medical Technician. Our Mission is to be a progressive healthcare partner serving with compassion, integrity and excellence.**Responsibilities:*** Provides phlebotomy on adults, children, and infants by venipuncture or capillary methods and direct arterial punctures.* Performs routine and special laboratory testing, recording, and test results reporting within established turnaround time.* Interpret analytical findings/results to assess compliance with hospital and industry standards.* Performs specimen collection, handling, processing, and testing following established procedures.* Performs instrument maintenance, calibrations, and function checks.* Assists in evaluating new tests and/or new procedures; perform quality control, proficiency testing and remedial action for unacceptable results.* Overnight shifts. No weekends; rotating holidays.**Requirements:*** Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or an Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.* 1 year of experience required.
