Resident Assistants needed at Robinson Terrace Rehabilitation & Nursing in Stamford, NY. Full-time role with paid CNA training to become NYS Certified. Day, Evening & Night shifts available.

CNA Training: Paid CNA class provided
Please note: CNA classes are held during the daytime

Position SummaryThe Resident Assistant role is an entry-level healthcare opportunity designed for individuals looking to start a career in nursing or patient care. Resident Assistants support residents and the nursing team while preparing to attend a paid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) class , leading to New York State CNA certification.
This role offers a clear path into healthcare with training, mentorship, and long-term growth.
Primary ResponsibilitiesResident Support
Respond promptly to call bells and resident needs
Assist with transporting residents to activities or appointments
Distribute clothing protectors and assist with meal service
Daily Room Care
Make beds, tidy resident rooms, and refill water pitchers
Perform regular rounds to maintain clean and organized units
Support of CNA Team
Assist CNAs with resident showers by preparing supplies and clothing
Help with bed-making and room setup
Additional Duties
Perform other tasks as assigned by nursing leadership
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Caring, patient, and respectful attitude toward the elderly
Willingness to learn and follow direction
Ability to remain on feet for most of the shift
Ability to lift or move up to 35 lbs
Full range of motion for bending, reaching, and lifting
