Surg Tech CVOR - Travel Job

Overview Join our team as a Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist in Mesa, AZ. You will function as a member of a cardiac surgical team, assisting physicians and nurses in the operating room during cardiovascular procedures. You will prepare the OR, manage sterile instrumentation, and support the surgical team to ensure patient safety and efficient perioperative care. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or GED. Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA or state‑equivalent), where applicable, registered with the State Regulatory Agency. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. One to two years of experience as a surgical technologist, OR three to four years of experience as a surgical technologist; candidate must be proficient to scrub in a minimum of two surgical specialties. Demonstrated ability to assist with cardiopulmonary bypass, cardiac assist devices, and vascular access/interventions (preferred). Ability to work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure CVOR environment and maintain professional composure in emergent situations. Manual dexterity, fine motor skills, adequate hearing and visual acuity (including color vision), and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds as required. Ability to participate in emergency call rotation and to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays as needed. Preferred: Experience in cardiac surgical environments and prior CVOR‑specific training or advanced cardiac intraoperative experience. Assignment Details Facility type: Hospital. Shift name: Days. Shift hours: 06:30–18:00. Duration: 13 week travel assignment. Role: CVOR Surgical Technologist supporting cardiac surgical cases and OR turnover.
