Job Summary
Medical Surgical Floor (MS) Days This position is located on a community hospitals Medical Surgical Telemetry unit with 27 beds. The role involves supporting patient care in a fast-paced environment, performing procedures such as Echo, EKG, Colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, and wound vac. The schedule consists of day shifts working 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 12/14/2026 and ending on 03/15/2027.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, ALS (Advanced Life Support), NIH (National Institutes of Health) certification, 0 years minimum experience, ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule, and willingness to start on 12/14/2026
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Meditech electronic medical records, proficiency in procedures such as Echo, EKG, Colonoscopy, TEE, EEG, wound vac, and familiarity with unit equipment including Welch-Allen vital sign machines and glucometers
• Additional Information: Candidates should be comfortable working on a unit with patient ratios of approximately 1:5-6. The unit encourages open scheduling for travelers, offers orientation to unit policies and procedures, and provides opportunities for resourcing, precepting, and working with students. The hospital fosters a cohesive environment with accessible providers, case management, and PT/OT/ST teams located on the same floor. Daily MDRs (Multidisciplinary Rounds) are held to coordinate care for patients.
