What to expect as a Logistics Coordinator: Scheduling and booking shipments to meet agreed transit times Dispatching carriers Tracking and tracing shipments, providing timely updates to customers Resolving shipment problems in a timely and constructive manner to minimize delays Monitoring and following up on additional costs occurred during transit to minimize order costs Communicating with customers in an excellent customer service manner and building rapport as a responsive and creative problem solver Communicating with carriers in an excellent professional manner and developing relationships as a fair business partner Maintaining accurate and timely billing entries Maintaining shared files and SOP’s Contributing to a healthy working atmosphere where teamwork, communication, and a strong focus on LEGACY culture and values are expected Other duties, as required, may be assigned Qualifications: Transportation-related College or University education preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Experience in transportation industry preferred Experience in intermodal/road transport, and/or brokerage environment preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills. As Logistics Coordinator, you play a fundamental role in helping our customers move their goods in the most cost-effective way and achieving our ambitious revenue growth objectives. You must be comfortable negotiating on the phone and building relationships with customers as well as carriers. You will be self-motivated, driven to succeed, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This is an entry level position and with the right attitude, performance, and training, there is potential for this role to advance to a Carrier Development Coordinator and/or Account Manager role.
