As our team continues to grow, we’re looking for a detail-driven Accounting and Payroll Administrator to support our internal operations and union workforce.

Position Overview:

The Accounting and Payroll Administrator will be responsible for managing the company’s financial processes, with a focus on union payroll, job costing, and benefit reporting. The ideal candidate will be experienced in QuickBooks , Excel , and PNI payroll software , and be comfortable handling complex, multi-layered accounting tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly union payroll using PNI , ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and certified payroll standards

• Prepare and submit monthly union benefit reports accurately and on time

• Manage job costing for active projects, working closely with project managers and field supervisors

• Handle profit-sharing tracking and distribution based on company metrics

• Create and send customer invoices using QuickBooks and follow up on receivables

• Process accounts payable, track company expenses, and reconcile financial transactions

• Maintain financial records including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and expense reports

• Provide reports and support for financial reviews, audits, and tax preparation

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience in accounting and payroll, preferably within a union or construction environment

• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (this is required)

• Experience with PNI payroll systems or similar platforms

• Strong understanding of union payroll requirements and benefit tracking

• Highly organized, accurate, and able to meet deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
