Position Summary The Facilities Electrical Central Control Room (CCR) Systems Team provides 24/7 monitoring, control, and incident response for all electrical power distribution across a large semiconductor manufacturing facility via the eFMCS platform. Team members work a compressed 12‑hour rotating schedule (day or night shifts) and are responsible for ensuring reliable power delivery, rapid recovery from disruptions, and clear communication of critical information to all site personnel. Responsibilities Develop step plans for power distribution system configuration changes, including required pre‑walks and calculations. Use or develop a verification system to ensure zero quality incidents during remote device operation. Create, review, or revise standard operating procedures and specifications to maintain high quality and annual revision compliance. Control and audit electrical room access for employees and contractors. Utilize statistical process controls to improve efficiency and effectiveness of system alarms, set points, and trends. Drive CCR and Facilities Electrical process improvement to increase safety, quality, and 6S activities. Enhance Control Room Operators’ and Engineers’ troubleshooting capabilities and distribution system knowledge. Mentor and train team members, communicate effectively across engineering, technical, and management levels. Develop a full understanding of power distribution operation and root‑cause analysis for electrical equipment. Understand network architecture and components, how they fail, and respond to loss of network/communications. Work independently on continuous improvement projects that improve operation and monitoring of on‑site equipment and systems. Act as backup to the control room operator during regular operation, field work, and paid time off. Monitor and manage day‑to‑day electrical equipment‑related operation; oversee work to mitigate impact and eliminate safety, quality, or production issues. Lead a small team of shift electricians for patrol rounds, preventive maintenance, and switching activities. Operate CCR Console (eFMCS) and execute alarm management per ISA 18.2, minimizing nuisance alarms. Improve Business Continuity and Emergency Response Plans, execute drills, and ensure knowledge is updated. Trigger and manage Business Continuity and Emergency Response Plans during abnormal operating events. Escalate incidents promptly to internal team, external customers, stakeholders, and the Austin Energy Operations Center. Collect tool impact from electrical incidents and develop preventative action plans for 8‑D reports. Work shift: C Shift – Thursday through Saturday (6:45 am – 7:15 pm) with alternating Wednesdays. Skills and Qualifications Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and single‑line diagrams. Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical fundamentals. Programming experience or knowledge is a plus; Python, SQL, R, etc. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations.
