Public Relations Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Public Relations Manager / Senior Manager based in United States.

This role will lead and accelerate an earned-media strategy within the rapidly evolving enterprise technology and artificial intelligence landscape.
You will build strong relationships with influential journalists, analysts, and industry voices across technology, business, and AI media.
The position combines proactive media outreach, trend commentary, thought leadership, and high-impact product and corporate communications.
You will help establish technical and business experts as trusted sources on emerging developments in AI infrastructure and the inference economy.
Working closely with senior stakeholders and an external agency, you will turn complex technology narratives into compelling stories that influence the market.

Accountabilities

• Develop and execute an earned-media strategy targeting leading technology, business, artificial intelligence, and industry publications, while building long-term relationships with journalists, influencers, and other relevant media contacts.
• Monitor the news cycle, competitive landscape, and emerging AI trends to identify timely opportunities for expert commentary, proactive pitching, and market positioning.
• Establish company experts as trusted industry voices through contributed articles, bylines, podcasts, speaking opportunities, awards, rankings, and other thought leadership initiatives.
• Lead public relations execution for product launches, corporate milestones, and major announcements, including press releases, embargoes, media briefings, spokesperson preparation, sequencing, and stakeholder coordination.
• Coordinate communications across internal spokespeople, external stakeholders, agencies, and supporting owned and paid channels to ensure consistent and effective messaging.
• Manage the external PR agency on a day-to-day basis by setting priorities, reviewing pitches, driving execution, and ensuring the agency delivers measurable results.
• Build an integrated communications program where earned media serves as the primary driver, supported by complementary owned and paid activities.
• Own PR measurement and reporting, tracking share of voice, media mentions, top-tier publication penetration, message pull-through, sentiment, and visibility within AI-generated responses.
• Use AI-assisted tools and workflows to improve research, monitoring, content development, media intelligence, and measurement while maintaining strong editorial standards and human judgment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in public relations or corporate communications, gained in-house, at an agency, or across both environments; 8+ years of experience is preferred for Senior Manager consideration.
• Strong B2B technology communications experience, ideally within enterprise software, data infrastructure, artificial intelligence, or another complex technology category.
• Demonstrated success building trusted relationships with journalists and influencers and securing high-quality earned media coverage in leading publications.
• Proven ability to develop compelling media pitches, identify newsworthy angles, and turn industry trends into timely commentary opportunities.
• Hands-on experience managing end-to-end product launches and embargoed announcements while coordinating multiple stakeholders and senior spokespeople.
• Strong understanding of artificial intelligence and demonstrated experience using AI tools and workflows to accelerate communications activities, including research, drafting, monitoring, and measurement.
• Excellent writing, storytelling, editing, and communication skills, combined with strong editorial judgment and attention to quality.
• Experience using newswire services and PR analytics platforms to distribute announcements, monitor coverage, measure performance, and communicate results.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, competitive technology environment while collaborating effectively with internal teams, senior leaders, external partners, and agencies.
• Understanding of what makes technology narratives relevant to business and industry audiences, with the confidence to challenge ideas, refine messaging, and make sound communication decisions.
• Experience with AI and/or data infrastructure is a plus, including familiarity with GPUs, tokens, and the role of memory and infrastructure in modern AI workloads.
• Agency and in-house communications experience is advantageous.
• Experience with Cision One and PR Newswire is a plus.
• Experience supporting global, growth-stage organizations operating in highly competitive and rapidly evolving technology markets is preferred.
