Position Function / Purpose: To provide daily maintenance and repair of plumbing and associated equipment at all district facilities. Major Responsibilities: Works with the plumbing foreman and F.C.C.S. Supervisor regarding progress of daily work orders & projects Works with all other maintenance departments Follows instructions and must be flexible in changing work assignments Demonstrate experience in all phases of plumbing repair and service of boilers, pumps, water heaters, water coolers and other standard plumbing fixtures (i.e., sewers, fixtures, piping, etc.) Able to work independently to complete assigned plumbing related work orders and make needed repairs Must have the ability to plan and complete construction modifications to district plumbing systems Perform other duties as assigned by Facility Control & Compliance Supervisor, Plumbing Foreman, and Executive Director of School Plant Services Qualification Requirements: Minimum Certification/Education: High School Diploma or GED Valid Texas Driver License and acceptable driving record; must adhere to Midland ISD’s vehicle safety and use program Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of City Plumbing Codes Knowledge of boilers operations in service Minimum Experience: 3 to 5 years experience with a plumbing company Physical Demands Regular attendance required.
