Key Responsibilities of the Certified Surgical Technician

• Assist in operating room procedures for spine and joint surgeries
• Prepare surgical equipment and ensure all instruments are available
• Support the surgical team by anticipating needs during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and follow infection control protocols
• Document surgical procedures and patient information accurately

Requirements of the Certified Surgical Technician

• Minimum 6 months current hospital CST experience
• BLS, DORA, and NBSTA certifications must be currently active
• Experience with large spinal fusions including ALIF, OLIF, DLIF, ACDF, and ACDR
