Energy Sales Operations Analyst (12-Month)

JOB TITLE: Business Analyst - Sales LOCATION: Houston, Texas SCHEDULE: Standard Office Hours DURATION: 12-Month Contract PAY: $24-29/hr Job Responsibilities: In this role, you will support direct and indirect sales operations within the Natural Gas and Retail Energy market. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the Sales team with processing commercial sales agreements and operational requests, including: o Managing custom pricing requests and pricing refreshes. o Processing commercial sales agreements and opportunity setup. o Gathering and analyzing usage data for proposals. o Coordinating account setup and prospect management. o Supporting bid preparation and proposal modifications. Acting as a liaison between Internal Sales Teams, Channel Partners, and Customers to ensure smooth communication and operational efficiency. Collaborating cross-functionally with internal departments to support end-to-end sales processes and improve team awareness of operational impacts. Participating in process design improvements and continuous business optimization initiatives. Providing timely communication and status updates to leadership regarding deliverables and project progress. Essential Duties and Job Functions: Analyze inbound requests for proposals and support opportunity setup activities. Process and manage commercial sales agreements accurately and efficiently. Coordinate account setup activities and maintain customer/prospect information. Gather, review, and organize usage and pricing data for sales opportunities. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deadlines and deliverables are met. Monitor proposal changes, pricing updates, and bid support activities. Support medium to large operational analysis projects within the business unit. Identify opportunities for process improvement and support implementation efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow efficiency and operational effectiveness. Provide regular reporting and updates to leadership on project status and operational metrics. Perform additional job-related duties as assigned. Knowledge & Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders. Experience supporting sales operations, proposal management, or account setup processes. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and business systems. Ability to interpret operational and pricing data accurately. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales support, business operations, or a related field.
