Staff Software Engineer (Android/iOS)

Salary: $137,200 - 219,700 per year Requirements:

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree, at least 2 years with an advanced degree, or 0 years with a PhD; or 8+ years of relevant work experience
• Background in software engineering or a closely related discipline
• Experience developing and supporting native mobile applications on Android and/or iOS
• Strong preference for 6+ years of experience with a bachelors degree, 4+ years with an advanced degree, or up to 3 years with a PhD
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and promoting engineering best practices
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable software solutions and services
• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance processes
• Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving complex production issues
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions and business outcomes
• Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards, security requirements, and software engineering best practices
• Experience building, enhancing, or supporting developer tools, automation capabilities, and engineering productivity initiatives
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade Android and/or iOS applications
• Experience building and maintaining mobile SDKs, reusable libraries, and developer-facing APIs
• Experience implementing mobile CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release engineering, and mobile DevOps practices
• Experience building and testing enterprise-scale applications, services, and mobile platforms
• Experience working on customer-facing products, technical teams, or platform engineering organizations
• Experience with mobile delivery tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Fastlane, Bitrise, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager, Google Play Console, and App Store Connect
• Experience in payments, fintech, digital identity, authentication, fraud prevention, risk management, or cybersecurity
• Experience using generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools to improve delivery and productivity

• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements for product components and incorporate feedback into future designs and solutions
• Translate functional requirements into system designs and communicate component interactions aligned with business goals and timelines
• Design and develop product components, refine implementation approaches, and contribute to design reviews
• Support project estimation, delivery planning, and risk identification
• Write extensible, reusable, and maintainable code
• Use debugging, monitoring, and observability tools to resolve complex technical issues and identify automation opportunities
• Lead code reviews and help ensure adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices
• Build testing strategies, identify coverage gaps, and proactively address defects to reduce customer impact
• Use operational metrics, analytics, and monitoring data to improve product reliability and performance
• Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response, troubleshooting, and production support
• Continuously learn new technologies and contribute innovative solutions that improve products, processes, and engineering practices
• Design, build, test, deploy, and support native Android and/or iOS applications
• Develop scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing mobile experiences
• Partner with backend, platform, product, and security teams to deliver customer-focused solutions
• Help drive architecture decisions and engineering standards across mobile platforms
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, memory usage, and battery efficiency
• Support production troubleshooting and continuous service improvement initiatives
• Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications, SDKs, and reusable frameworks for Android and iOS
• Build developer-facing SDKs, APIs, and platform capabilities, and create technical documentation, sample apps, and integration guides
• Implement modern mobile DevOps practices by designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines
• Own the end-to-end mobile release lifecycle, including SDK versioning, backward compatibility, code signing, app publishing, and App Store and Google Play deployments
