We're seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Registered Nurse for a 13-week night shift assignment in beautiful Lander, Wyoming. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive healthcare team while providing compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population. Position Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical and surgical patients. Assess, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans. Administer medications and IV therapies while monitoring for adverse reactions. Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and cardiac or electronic monitoring equipment as appropriate. Provide care for pre-operative and post-operative patients. Perform nursing procedures including IV starts, catheter insertions, wound care, and dressing changes. Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while assisting physicians as needed. Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, procedures, discharge planning, and post-hospital care. Recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and patient outcomes in the electronic medical record. Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe, effective patient care. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience required. Previous acute care hospital experience required. Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
