Project Engineer

Project Engineer - Commercial Construction 
Location: Appleton, WI 
Salary: $70K-$110K base (salary depends on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Project Engineer to support ground up Commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Engineer will ensure technical accuracy, coordinate with field and office teams, manage construction documentation, and help drive projects to on-time, on-budget completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support project management by preparing and maintaining project documentation including submittals, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, design teams, and vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.
• Review plans and specifications; assist in constructability reviews, sequencing, and value engineering during preconstruction and construction phases.
• Track and report project costs, assist with budget updates, and support change order pricing and negotiation.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance; document observations and follow up on corrective actions.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a Project Engineer with ground up Commerical Projects in some combination of Higher Education, Churches, Senior Living, Religous, Commercial, Sustainability, Higher Education, K12 etc
• Experience with construction documentation and software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office; AutoCAD/Revit/BIM experience preferred).
• Minimum 1+ years of relevant field or office experience supporting commercial projects (ground-up and tenant improvements desirable).
