Candidates with additional experience are welcome, and we will consider qualified attorneys from law firm, in‑house, and solo practice backgrounds. The position also requires willingness to travel for hearings, client meetings, and other matters as needed. Job Description Represent clients in tribal, federal, and state litigation matters from strategy through resolution. Research complex legal issues and prepare persuasive memoranda, pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents. Appear at hearings, trials, depositions, interviews, meetings, and other proceedings. Counsel clients on litigation strategy, legal procedures, risk, and potential courses of action. Handle matters involving tribal sovereignty, jurisdiction, business, housing, education, taxation, gaming, energy, natural resources, government affairs, and related areas. Communicate effectively with tribal clients, courts, opposing counsel, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Participate in conferences, seminars, and relationship‑building activities that strengthen existing client relationships and create new opportunities. Collaborate with experienced attorneys while independently managing assignments and deadlines. Travel as needed for court proceedings, administrative hearings, and client meetings throughout the United States. Qualifications JD from an accredited law school. Active bar membership in good standing in Colorado or another U.S. jurisdiction. 1+ year of litigation experience. Proven litigation, legal research, analytical, and writing skills. Strong interest in developing or continuing a practice in tribal and federal Indian law. Excellent professional communication and client‑service skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced legal environment. Willingness and ability to travel as required. Previous Indian Law or tribal client experience is highly valued but not required.
