Senior Project ManagerThe Weitz Company is hiring a Senior Project Manager for our office in West Palm Beach, FL. This role is responsible for safely and profitably managing all administrative and field construction activities to quality standards, while maintaining relationships with all stakeholders on assigned project(s). The Senior Project Manager will demonstrate leadership by following company standards and policies, achieving shared goals, developing others, and building high morale and commitment.This role requires experience in commercial construction working on education, municipal, hospitality, aviation, and/or senior living projects.What You'll Do:Lead and oversee complex construction projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high quality standardsProvide direction to project teams while fostering a collaborative team environment, managing team performance, and ensuring adherence to project goalsLead client and stakeholder communication, manage expectations, and resolve issues efficiently and effectivelyPrepare and manage project schedule, identify and address long lead items, update project plan as needed, initiate changes to ensure adherenceNegotiate and execute change orders, subcontracts, and purchase ordersComplete monthly project status reports, owner billings, and financial risk assessmentsIdentify and recommend value engineering and scope reduction opportunitiesImplement quality control and quality assurance program and measures to ensure project meets and exceeds required standards and identify areas for improvementEnsure project safety plan is completed and communicated to project team and subcontractorsAssist with preconstruction efforts and manage buy-out processDetect constructability issues with project designUnderstand contract terms, budgets, insurances, bonds and change orders; ensure adherence including work progress being within scopeFoster positive relationships with both internal and external partiesLead, develop, and mentor team membersWhat We're Looking For:Experience: 10+ years of construction experience working as a project managerCommercial construction experience working for a general contractor (GC) is requiredExperience in education, municipal, hospitality, aviation, and/or senior living construction is requiredSkills: Excellent project management skills and commercial construction knowledgeStrong business acumen, tact, and relationship building skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationAbility to make sound judgements and decisionsSolid leadership skills and comfortable with conflict resolutionAnalytical thinker with a high level of initiativeAdaptable to meet needs of the business and the clientDetail-oriented and highly organizedStrong negotiation skillsTechnology: Experience with JDE, Procore, Bluebeam is a plusProficient in basic computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OutlookAbility to learn specific job-related software upon hireWhat We Offer:Competitive PayRewarding Bonus ProgramComprehensive Benefits Package with Tax-Advantaged HSA and FSA offeringsEmployer-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability ProgramsEmployer-Paid Life InsuranceGenerous Paid Time Off Provisions401K Retirement Savings Plan with Company MatchTuition ReimbursementFully Paid Parental LeaveVoluntary Products Including: Critical Illness Insurance and Accident InsuranceCorporate Wellness Program with Wellness Time Off and RewardsVisa sponsorship is not available for this position at this time.The Company does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or agencies.
