Logistics Supervisor

Essential Responsibilities• Responsible for managing Shipping and Receiving Clerks, Logistics Coordinators and MaterialHandlers within the shipping and receiving departments.• Identify requirements for proper documentation for customs on international shipments• Provide leadership in on-going cost reduction and continuous improvement programs.• Develop, implement and execute logistics sourcing strategies, practices and procedures inalignment with business unit leaders.• Develop and implement negotiation strategies for logistic services; including, but not limited to alltypes of inbound and outbound transportation, warehousing, crating/packaging, freight billauditing• Works closely with internal stakeholders to establish correct Export Control Classification Number(ECCN) and Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS).• Develops and is accountable for budget/standard cost for quarterly/annual operating and longrange planning.• Provide for the evaluation of supplier quotations utilizing appropriate negotiation and procurementanalysis techniques and implementation of proper contracts with emphasis on quality, price andservice.• Manages shipping schedule and oversees incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.• Coordinates with Engineering, Project Management and Manufacturing departments for advancedidentification of shipments with special requirements for permits, routes and equipment.• Identify requirements for proper documentation for customs for international shipments• Manage all facets or material receivables and stock room activities.• Ensures employees have proper access to the necessary tools to perform their assigned dutiesand that the tools are routinely inspected and maintained.• Create and sustain a safe work environment.• Delivers supervisory functions including, but not limited to, talent acquisition, performancemanagement, and employee relations.Minimum Qualifications• Minimum of 5 years logistics and logistics contract negotiation experience, preferably in theelectrical/power component industry.• Minimum 1 year of proven supervisory experience• Expertise in executing Receiving/Inventory Control through Oracle SystemsPreferred Qualifications• Experience with OracleSkills, Abilities & Other Requirements• Must be able to communicate effectively across multiple cultures and work well in a global Teamenvironment.• Ability to solve problems in a fast-paced environment• Proven ability to develop effective working relationships• Demonstrated capability in managing team activities• Strong planning/project management skillsWorking & Environmental ConditionsPhysical RequirementsAble to maintain body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching,ascending or descending stairs.Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in arepetitive manner continuously.Continuous standing, walking 50-300 foot distances for long periods of time with only occasional sitting.Walking up to 300 feet frequently and standing continuously throughout the shift with short periods ofsitting.Full timePosting Date: 2026-06-26
