We look forward to hearing from you! Role: Senior Data Engineer Contract Length: 12+ Months Location: San Ramon, CA area and willing to be onsite once per week. Rate: $65/hr on W2 What Will You Be Doing? Responsibilities: Develop and optimize cloud-based data storage and processing solutions using Snowflake. Design, implement, and maintain robust data pipelines and ETL processes. Collaborate with federated teams and data engineers to understand requirements and deliver high‑quality data solutions. Ensure data integrity and security across all workflows and storage solutions. Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure accuracy and reliability. Develop reusable, modular stored procedures and scripts for data processing. Contribute to developing and implementing data governance best practices. Support metadata management, data quality processes, and enterprise data standards. Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Minimum of 5 years of data engineering experience. Proven experience with Snowflake. Strong proficiency in SQL and database management. Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modelling, and performance tuning. Hands‑on experience with ETL tools (Informatica, Talend, dbt, or equivalents). Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD for data pipelines. Familiarity with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. Preferred: Experience with Python or other scripting languages. Informatica experience (nice to have). Knowledge of Tableau, Power BI, or other visualization tools. Exposure to orchestration tools.
