You can read more about us in this letter from our founders.What You'll DoBuild and support testing needs for small scale experimentsSupport mechanical builds ranging from small tabletop assemblies to large steel weldmentsSupport electrical builds ranging from basic sensor installation to full control panel buildsSupport the engineering team during the design, development, and testing phases of the fusion systemMaintain the manufacturing environment via 5S principles, ensuring that all tools, equipment, and workspaces are clean, safe, and organizedPlay a key role in setting up the manufacturing site by installing equipment, facilities, and storageDraft and finalize SOPs, safety procedures, and other related documentationHelp troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivityProvide feedback to design engineers for DFM improvements or functional changesCollaborate with the multidisciplinary team (including electrical, mechanical, software, and manufacturing engineers) to ensure systems integration and effectivenessComply with all applicable safety and regulatory requirements, including ISO, state, and federal regulations, as well as those specific to the companyWhat You BringMinimum 5 years of experience as a technician in a hands-on setting; lead or supervisory experience preferredStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electromechanical systemsDemonstrated ability to follow detailed instructions and protocolsExtensive experience operating a forklift and using hand and power toolsStartup experience with fast changing priorities and work scopeBonus Points ForAssociate's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical fieldExperience setting up a new manufacturing facility, ideally in a startup environmentExperience owning and mastering machine shop tools (lathe, mill, CNC, drill press, etc.)Familiarity with CAD software and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematicsBackground in hands-on trades such as machining, welding, construction, or auto mechanicsPay Range:$40 - $60 USDTotal Compensation & Benefits for Eligible EmployeesIndustry-competitive salaryEquity plan6% employer 401k matchingGenerous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave)Medical, Dental, and Vision insuranceActual base salary offered will be determined by: experience, skills, and work location.
