You will represent our company in a professional, safe and courteous manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction./ph3Class A Truck Driver Responsibilities/h3ulliThis position requires teams driving routes weekly./liliBe able to drive and successfully operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs./liliPick up loads, verify for accuracy, and deliver on time./liliAccurately complete paperwork./liliLoad and unload various types of cargo safely./liliDrive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather./liliInspect vehicle before start of shift; perform basic truck maintenance when necessary./liliFollow schedule and rest when necessary./liliBe able to read maps and follow directions to a location./liliProvide courteous, professional customer service at all customer locations./liliComfortable working with animals of varying sizes, including non-human primates./liliEnsure animal welfare standards and conduct safe animal handling practices./li/ulh3Skills Needed to be a Class A Driver/h3ulliSuccessful completion of a motor vehicle driving record check./liliAble to follow detailed instructions and communicate in English./liliStrong ability to pay attention to detail./liliBe able to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 70 lbs./liliDrive for long periods of time safely./liliSelf-motivated and reliable./liliAble to read maps and GPS./liliCustomer service skills./liliGood knowledge of roads and direction, traffic laws, and DOT regulations./li/ulh3Requirements for Being a Class A Truck Driver/h3ulliValid CDL Class A License./liliClean driving record (requirements, or certain exceptions, may vary)./liliAt least 5 years of CDL driving experience, preferably transporting live animals./liliMust comply with ongoing tuberculosis (TB) screening and testing requirements in accordance with organizational policy and applicable local, state, and federal regulations./li/ulh3Benefits/h3ulliMeal Sleeper per diem/liliGenerous Paid Time Off/liliCompany Paid holidays/liliMedical, dental and vision insurance/liliHealth savings account/liliFlexible spending account/lili401k/li/ulpInotiv is a growing contemporary drug discovery and development company where we Play to Win in an industry rich with opportunity.
