Certifications:

• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• Basic Coronary Care certification within 6 months of hire
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification within 90 days of hire

Must-Have:

• Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Ability to deal with people in a professional and courteous manner
• Capacity to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Computer literacy preferred, particularly with Microsoft Office products and electronic medical records

Description: The position involves providing care in an Intensive Care Unit setting with a focus on patient safety and well-being. Nurses are expected to exemplify teamwork and effective communication while upholding professional standards. The staff member must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary for providing age-appropriate care across diverse patient populations. The individual must be able to assess data reflective of the patient's status. Awareness of growth and development principles throughout the lifespan is essential for identifying and meeting each patient's specific needs. Participation in ongoing education and certification opportunities will be expected to ensure quality care.
