Forklift Operator

General Hours of Work: 2:30pm - 11:00pm

The Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials and products, supporting plant operations, and ensuring accurate handling of inventory and documentation. This role requires communication with high-rise team members to coordinate material flow.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load outgoing finished goods according to customer and quality specifications
• Unload incoming materials and move products to designated storage areas, including coolers and high-rise storage
• Transport materials within the facility using a forklift, pallet jack, or yard dog as assigned
• Verify shipping and receiving documentation, pallet accuracy, and counts in the system
• Inspect pallets for condition prior to movement or storage
• Perform other related duties as assigned
• Maintain a clean and safe work area by following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), safety procedures, and wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Qualifications:

• Forklift operation experience or ability to obtain certification
• Ability to operate a forklift and/or pallet jack safely and effectively
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with documentation and inventory
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Basic verbal and written communication skills
• Basic computer skills preferred, including Microsoft Excel for tracking and documentation
