What you'll do: Deliver platform capabilities including infrastructure, tooling, and ML frameworks aligned with roadmap milestones and domain priorities. Lead full software development lifecycle activities such as coding, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance. Conduct system design reviews to ensure quality, feasibility, and alignment with architectural best practices. Build AI-driven applications and integrate ML components using multiple programming languages and platforms. Mentor engineers and influence architectural decisions promoting standardization and sustainability. Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex problems into actionable technical requirements. Apply data-driven practices to define success metrics and optimize development processes. Drive continuous improvement through innovation, knowledge sharing, and proactive issue resolution. What you'll bring: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Strong proficiency in Java with excellent programming fundamentals (OOP, data structures, algorithms, concurrency) Hands-on experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC and REST APIs Working knowledge of React, HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and internals (build pipelines, artifact management, automated testing, deployments) Solid understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, or GCP) Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with observability tools (logging, monitoring, tracing) Exposure to performance tuning and scalability optimization Prior experience working in large-scale enterprise systems At Walmart, we offer competitive pay as well as performance-based bonus awards and other great benefits for a happier mind, body, and wallet.
